E-Club comes from electronic club and means that the communications of its members during the weekly meetings are done using computers connected to the internet web.
Rotary E-Club of Latinoamérica are like traditional Rotary Clubs in their fundamental concept, the only difference being that they communicate on a weekly basis using a chat software, MSN Messenger or similar, with all members obtaining full information of the meeting.
Weekly meetings will normally follow a set agenda estabished by the Secretary and approved by the President. This agenda will be further communicated to the Sergeant of Arms for his coordination of the meeting.
Most times the issues on the agenda have already been discussed by the responsible members in charge of that specific area, and have been communicated by email to the members: the weekly meeting is therefore an ideal occasion for further clarification and proposal of improvements; weekly meetings will set the atmosphere to reach consensus among members.
The complete text of the conversation is sent to all members after the meeting, regardless of their attendance at that particular meeting: full knowledge of all issues in the e-club is available to members at all times.
